Abstract

The Food, Conservation and Energy Act of 2008 (commonly referred to as the Farm Bill) was enacted on June 19, 2008. The legislation amended the Cooperative Forestry Assistance Act of 1978 and requires each state to complete a Statewide Forest Resource Assessment, followed by the development of a Statewide Forest Resource Strategy to receive, or continue to receive, funds under the Cooperative Forestry Assistance Act (CFAA).
