Abstract
The Secretary of Education's Commission on the Future of Higher Education released a report stating graduates are not meeting expectations with regard to basic problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. The development of appropriate business law curriculum and teaching activities can aid students in achieving those skills. Appropriate activities and curriculum can and should be based in student development theory to be most effective. This presentation reviews relevant parts of the Commission's report, reviews key literature on college student development and provides pedagogical tools to integrate development theory in to the classroom to improve the skills in question
